About the event

KINTSUGI 2025 is a late-night fundraising event taking place at the end of Breast Cancer Awareness Month at La Voûte in Montreal.

Rooted in the Japanese art of Kintsugi, which celebrates beauty in imperfection, the event pays tribute to women who have undergone breast reconstruction after cancer.

This one-of-a-kind gala will feature immersive performances and luxury brand collaborations, blending nightlife, art, and philanthropy into an unforgettable evening.

All net proceeds will support initiatives aimed at improving
breast reconstruction education and visibility, with future
plans to grow Kintsugi into an annual movement.

The Japanese art of Kintsugi

This event is inspired by Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. Instead of hiding the cracks, Kintsugi highlights them—transforming what was once broken into something stronger, more beautiful, and even more valuable.

This philosophy is at the heart of our event.

A breast cancer diagnosis can shatter a woman’s sense of identity, but through treatment and reconstruction, she can begin to piece herself back together—not as she was, but as someone new: resilient and unapologetically transformed. Just like in Kintsugi, the process of reconstruction doesn’t erase the past—it honours it. Breast reconstruction becomes more than a surgical act; it is a symbolic one, a reminder of the beauty found in healing.

Our Mission

Sublimating Imperfections

Kintsugi teaches us that brokenness is not the end — it is the beginning of something stronger. This philosophy lies at the heart of our work.

For women facing breast cancer, the journey can feel like life has been fractured into pieces. But treatment and reconstruction offer more than medical care; they offer renewal, identity, and a chance to emerge transformed.

We raise awareness through art and advocacy, creating spaces that honour the past, celebrate resilience, and reveal the extraordinary beauty of survival.
